I found a reference to using Telekinesis on opposing figures (but it's from 2006) and was wondering if it still applies. It's a Realms 'rules and errata' document and in it, it notes that TK can't be used to toss an opposing figure into a wall or off a building for damage. I would figure getting tossed like this would be accurate and legal but that's just me. Is this illegal still?
Seperately, can I use TK to move a peanut base character? I'm not finding a reference to this in the players guides.
See, what had happened was.....Whoa. Stop. Everything that follows that statement is bulls**t.

Regarding multi-base figures, from 2012 PAC
If A is a character, it must be a single base character and possess the symbol.
As for your first question, yes you still cannot throw a figure into a wall. The reason is simple. TK requires you be able to draw line of sight to the destination square. If the wall is before the destination square, then the TKer cannot draw line of sight to it, and if the wall is after the destination square, then the TKed character would stop before they hit the wall.

Yup, still illegal. TK is very gentle, unless you are throwing objects at people's heads.

No, it is in the description of TK itself. "If A is a character, it must be a single base character and possess the symbol"
Separate question that has been in the back of my mind. With TK you pick A and B and both must be within 8 squares of the figure using TK and each other. When counting 8 squares do you start in the square the figure with TK is in? I know with range you do not, but range is different. In other words, if A and B need to be within 8 squares of each other, do you start counting in A's square, or a square adjacent to A (in the direction of B)?

The square a character, object, or whatever is always 0 squares from itself. So, no, when you count from A (or B, or the TK-er) you would not need to count the square that A (or B, or the TK-er) actually occupies. It all comes out in the wash, anyway. For example:
So if you start from the TK-er (T), and begin counting in an adjacent square, A is 8 squares away. Switch it around, counting from a square adjancet to A, and T is 8 squares away.

That is what I thought. Thanks.

OK, I just overlooked that whole part about single base. happens when you're a dumbass like me.
It's just me then, I think that TK should be used to toss opponents into a wall, but I guess not. Thanks for the help.

The thing about TK is your placing a figure or object in a certain square. So your not throwing a character into a wall, your placing him next to it. You wouldn't be throwing a character off elevated terrain, you would gently be placing him on the elevation below. Rules would be too complicated to incorporate that kind of realism.
