i know the old rule book it said y do but i do not see that in the new rule book anymore

No, you do not. In fact, you have not had to break away for the past year, as the 2011 PAC changed TK to placing.

mithmyrr here is correct. To add to this; the old rulebook had TK as moving the character you would be TK'ing. The rules were changed last year to place instead of move.
