the new pac says that sharp shooter can:
Ignore Opposing Characters
May make a ranged combat attack targeting adjacent opposing characters.
Ok now with that said. does that mean I can use the new Hawkeye and shoot Tony Stark if he is hiding behind thor and captain america..
if this was the set up?
Hawkeye
Thor
Cap
Tony
I ask this because it doesnt say can shoot through AN OPPOSING CHARCTER. it says IGNORES OPPOSING CHARACTERS
ok 2nd question...I know how this partially works.. but this is just a quick am I right scenario...
Ok I have Thor and Hercules on the Field. Thor is getting his butt kicked from ranged attacks..I move herc in to help out. Herc is at full power. Thor is on his last click. I use the merge thingywidget to make Thor and Hercules. ..how I read it is they are now at full power. and if I split them... thor is back up to almost full health again...now to me this sounds very very very wrong.. but it is how I am reading this.. please tell me this is now how the split merge thing does...if it is so..Avengers prime is about to cause me to NERD RAGE.
for the first question, you ignore opposing characters for LOF so yes, that would work.
For the second; yes, assuming the two figures qualified for the merge that would work as well. It takes some time to pull off, though, due to merge and split token requirements, so it's not as potent as it initially sounds. But rage on if it helps.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”

However, it is worth noting that it totally depends on which character you actually give the action to use Merge.
MERGE
When this character is adjacent to other friendly characters that each represent one distinct qualifying character listed on a Duo character’s character card and all of them have no action tokens, give this character a free action to replace all of them with that Duo character, the same number of clicks from its starting line as this character. The combined point value of the qualifying char acters must be equal to or greater than the point value of the Duo char acter (unless that Duo character previously used the Split ability to be replaced by these same characters). The Duo character can’t use the Split ability this turn. This ability can’t be countered.
So in the example scenario in the first post, the real answer depends on who was given the action: Thor or Herc? Herc? Full dial duo. Thor? Almost dead Duo.
Sure, you can probably guess who your opponent is going to use... but what if you can't? I know if my opponent were to just say, "I am going to Merge these two guys," I am going to say, "Fine. How exactly are doing that?" Maybe they want a full dial... maybe they want to be three or four clicks down to get some Outwit or something. I won't know what they are doing unless they specifically tell me.
