So what I need to know about the upcoming IG8 tournament is what happens if my Chanos Killbox team runs into an identical version of itself? What would you guys do?
Never take life to seriously, you'll never get out alive.
You need initiative. I use a team that is different from the Wolverine team. Even when pulled I got lucky andppulled out a win. My defense was 22 when I was pulled. I hit the other guys Thanos first. Then proceeded to run my team down map.
So if you get initiative I would go first but I thought Thanos was errated so you couldn't pull anyone with the teleport power on your first turn. So I guess I was under the impression you would want to go second.
Also if you were pulled into a kill box, and say you took a hit and went down to your Phasing clix. Would you run or stay and fight, fighting seems to make the sense to me but hey I come for advice, its advice I shall ask for.

The power does target now (meaning it can't get through first round immunity), but you still want to go 1st, because first round immunity ends at the beginning of the 2nd round of gameplay, meaning you still have the first shot to snatch someone and clobber them.

Ok so honestly other than initiative there isn't a ton you can do however here are some tactics:
1. Your second highest person should have prop control. The less chance they have of hitting you the better. I know this is hard to find a character for because you want to set up your own killbox, but really try hard to find one.
2. Theme it. Better chance of winning initiative. A common thing people forget about theme teams is that it has to be 2 CLIX for every 300 pts or fraction there of, not one for every 150. This will also give you theme prob to hopefully avoid first strikes.
3. Don't give up. If he goes first and hits dont let it affect you. Chanos is a miraculous clix. He can endure more than you would expect.
Thats it because like i said earlier, you cant do too much if you lose initiative. But anyway, hope this helped. Good luck.
What is Killbox that people keep posting? Thanos and a couple of Wolverines? Is he at 350 points or 300? Thanks for answering.
for him to use his full potential and his special power to teleport figures he needs to be at 350
the killbox is the rest of your force whose only job is to (as the name suggest) kill your opponents figure without letting him get out of the area (AKA box) hence "killbox"
can be the 2 wolverines, figures with PSB, PW, and so
Well, if your venue allows Fast Forces, I'd think that 3 50 Point Scarlet Witches has to be good as well. 4x Perplex and 3 Probs means you can set up multiple shots. If you have to get pulled you can Perplex Thanos to a 22 prior and then have a prob over there with you. Hitting your Thanos in those conditions is less than ideal, and if he hits SW he's taking Mystics. If you win, set up the Psychic Blast on his piece and go from there.
