A character is pushing to hit a mystic ta figure. They hit. Their next click has willpower. can they take the mystic first then ignore the pushing?
I know that if a character is hit with hypersonic the damage is dealt where the player attacked from and if the character loses hypersonic from mystic then they are stuck.
therefore i would think the willpower would activate and the attacking character would take 1 click. rep for answer thanks
The feedback from damaging the Mystics figure is immediate: when you hit them and do damage, you take a click. So it would occur before the token is placed and pushing damage, if any, is applied.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
i am guessing that the mystics team ability states that
MYSTICS
When a character using the Mystics team ability takes damage from an attack, the attacker is dealt 1 unavoidable damage. This damage is not an attack.
so when the damage is dealt it is a different phase of the action/resolution than when the action token is applied.
okay thanks. is there a specific quote i could see for that players guide/modern rule book ? thanks.
The timing is in the Mystics text. It says that you take the damage when the other guy takes his damage. Then the rulebook tells you that pushing damage happens as actions resolve.
The Mystic taking damage and the action resolving is always going to happen in that order.
