I was wondering if anyone could help this new player make a 200, 300, and even 400 team from the characters that I have. Here is a list of what i have:

Uniques:
Spiderman (Infinity Challange)
Spiderman (Clobberin' Time)
Pheonix (Xplosion)

Veteran:
Madame Masque
Elektra
Annihilus
Thug

Experienced:
Ultron
S.W.A.T. Officer
Kingpin
Boomerang

Rookie:
Skrull Commando
Mystique
Controller
Puppet Master
Thug
Hulk
Daredevil
Pyro

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what you have, your best bet would be to attempt to build a 300-point Ultron team. Try out the following:

Exp Ultron 139 points
Exp Boomerang 34
Exp Yellowjacket 32
Exp SWAT officer 21
Rke Mystique 34
Rke Pyro 27
Rke Skrull Commando 11
TOTAL 298 points

This isn't a bad team. All of these figures but Pyro have a team ability that can be utilized. Take advantage of that the best you can since it's an important aspect of game knowledge and development of Heroclix skills.

Also, take your time when playing, don't rush into battle until you know that you can take advantage of a better position than your opponent.

For a 200 point game, you may want to try this:

Unique Spiderman 67
Exp Boomerang 34
Exp Yellowjacket 32
Rke Mystique 34
Rke Pyro 27
Rke Thug 6
TOTAL 200 points

This team is rather weak. Get Mystique into a stealthy position early and get Thug out there, too. When you're ready to do battle, use Yellowjacket to carry Spiderman into close combat (be sure that Mystique has line of fire to Spiderman so she can increase either his attack value or damage with her perplex). But make sure that you're within Pyro's range so that you can throw a barrier up after Spidey attacks.

Im not 100% sure about this but dont you need more than one person of the same team for the team abilities to work?

MagentaPork: not unless the team ability specifically says so; for example, Batman Enemy and Superman Enemy don't do you any good unless you have two (or one and a wildcard)

I agree with the ultron team.. it is a good team i used that team against my friend this combo would help you...

Ultron will be your big gunner, perplex his damage value by using mustique and add one more damage with the SWAT Team ability (Shield) after you attack end your turn with pyro use his barrier ability to protect ultron so that your enemy cant fireback at him..

good combo aint it?

I got the following characters today in addition to the ones above:

Not sure if any of these would better the teams. Lady deathstrike seems to have good stats for a character that only costs 45 pts.

USE DESTINY!!!! PC for only 20 points, plus SS if someone gets within range to hit her - if she is targeted, use the prob. control to re-roll Super Senses - you have a MUCH better shot of rolling a 5 or 6 than trying to get someone to have a low attack roll.
