Is Away Team part of any heroclix age (modern or golden) ? I know the one with the ships is not, but this one has "compatible" sized figurines so I wonder: Are they?

They are Golden, though the document stating that has yet to be released.

I know I am jumping the gun but will their team abilities be made available in normal ages (right now, according to players' guide, they are only available in the ship based version of Star Trek, "Any game elements indicated with the ‡ symbol may only be used with the Star Trek: Tactics game")
