I would probably pick an xmen theme team and it would involve 4 GSX characters, 2 10th anniversary and one galactic guardians:

GSX
1. Psylock - her blades/claws ability is ridiculously over powered if you can have her up against a person on their last few clicks or even just on the ability she is great. Including having combat reflexes on a good amount of clicks. Dang!
2. And 3. Fast forces beast and iceman -I like the pair for their cool pc ability plus beast had a support/charge and super senses. Iceman has a cool running shot outwit, uncompacitate, and regen.
4. Fast forces cyclops -I like this cyclops cause he also has the pc ability with beast and iceman but also has a running shot and leadership ability. Combine that with will power for no push damage he is pretty good.

Mavel 10th
1. Rare storm -battle promo is cool but since she is such low cost (only 98) I think she works well as is. She is an amazing figure with penetrating and running shot first click, movement of 10 plus her cool defensive super senses/energy shield. She is a pretty tough cookie to hit. And also another character with leadership!
2. Skrull wolverine -again another not fair character 2 shape changes and then super senses and regen. Plus getting blades/claws and flurry. This wolverine is just mean! (again a low point value only 96)

Galactic Guardians
1. Gravity feed namor -he has a charge, hits like a champ and is invulnerable first click. He is a pretty tought force to go against for any piece. Especially on a water playing field giving him extra abilities to drag people in, he very much so is a pain in the ###.

Some might not let Red She-Hulk qualify for the ATA because she doesn't have the keyword. You might be able to keep theme though so give the ATA to the rest and give her the Tank Turret to swing around for 599 points

Awesome! Dark Avengers is one of my top teams. Its just hard fitting all the best members on a 600 point team. You kinda need 800+.

I love using ares on my dark avengers team I usually replace sentry with him and I use hawkeye don't get the team ability but it still looks cool haha oh and ms marvel.

Why is that a problem? Harder to find? Lol. You could use the LE Venom in place of Daken to at least get some range and Penetrating Blast later in the dial. There's also another version of that Venom in Hammer of Thor. He's pretty mean too
