The main comic shop I'm playing at is a little behind, as we are just now finishing the IG Op, and I have never placed above 3rd place.

I stopped buying the Chaos War set, as I feel like I have too many of the units, and I have the worst luck when pulling anything great for this sealed event. The last time I played, I I think I've pulled 2 Captain America boosters and made the worst team yet. Not this Sunday, but the next, is our next match and I'm think I'm getting either two boosters of Superman, or the Incredible Hulk.

My question is what do you all think I should rely on to battle the Chaos War sets?

A follow up would be, is there any tips that I might be overlooking? I've tried building small powerhouse teams, large low cost teams and everything in between. I know it's a tough question without both seeing me play/my team layout and the opposing team, but I've been able to crawl out of last place these past few weeks, but I'm looking to place higher.

Any tips/hints/suggestions would be helpful, and I thank anyone/everyone in advance.

300 pt Superman or 200 pt Supergirl will pretty much truck a LOT of things in sealed. Pull those guys and you stand a really good chance.

^^yup! Superman boosters are my go-to when a big prize is out there for a sealed. So many good figs to pull, you've always got great options!

I agree. Superman is the way to go. The commons and uncommons in those sets kick ### so hard, and if you get some of the Super Rares, well, that can be game ending.

It looks like the last son of Krypton is getting all the love. I tried using this set about a month ago. My team was Superman Robot, Eraicator and Flashpoint Wonder Woman. Maybe I should have thrown in Parasite or All Star Bizarro instead? Who knows. I did pretty decent but again, still came in 3rd. This is 3rd out of 4-6 people, by the way. When I play free play at other shops and come 3rd or 4th out of 8-10 people, I usually have no complaints.

I'm going to go on over to the Units section of this site and study the Superman set. Maybe get a good idea of what I might expect and draw some conclusions from that. I was clinging on the hope that i'd grab two Hulk boosters and pull some Hulked Out Hero or a nice SR like Black Bolt or Ghost Rider, but with my luck, it'll be some type of A.I.M family picnic.
