OK, I've got an upcoming game that's 300 points golden age where you have to use something that nobody else at the venue has ever used before and it has to make someone laugh. I've gotten a head start and I wanted some input.

Slap the gauntlet on Lockjaw and watch the wacky happen!

The other idea was to slap Mercenary on an old 100 pointer sentinel and make him a mystic....but that's been done before. Man that was a great game!

Animal teams are pretty potent if you build around them. Not my fave but doable.
Id go with a howling commandos team. With plenty of generics so you can pull your own d day invasion!

That sounds like a fun idea, but soldiers have already been called by someone else. I'm just trying to build a goofball team that can actually fight. I know kind of contradictory terms.

EXCELSIOR!!!

Well the game was quick and bloody. For some reason everyone ignored the dog until the end and focused on the monkey and dinosaur first! I managed to get about a 50/50 record for the day because some jerk went and played supermen robots.....The old CD ones, not the new ones. For some reason every time I managed to nail one down, I kept missing. The most hilarious moment came in the last game when the doggie reached godhood! My opponent was playing an army of Halo Grunts and doing the voices for them! So every time the dog came at them they would, "FLEE!"

Fantastic. If I haven't sold all my Lockjaws (been bleeding my older stuff over the last 2 years) that sounds like a fun Gauntlet candidate.

I must go look for other insane choices.
