That epic action is one of the better ones I've seen giving a lot of people indomitable but as far as the dial goes not extraordinary. That said in a set with a lot of low point figs that leadership will be useful.
Flurry and ESD? With 14 defense? We're in the land of Hypertime defenses again! That said this dial works well for Thorin. He's a bit of a fighter, but not as skilled as he thinks he is, so those numbers work well for him.
I play Heroclix, Pathfinder, and retro video games on Twitch!

Ok I have to give that to you yes he isn't as skilled at least in the beginning as he thinks he is but still a 14 defense what happened to his armor did he take it off or something 15 should be the lowest defense on this figure.
The Hunger....its to much I can't control it..AARRGGHH THE HUNGER!!!!!
Horrible dial. Even just comparing him to fellow LotR characters he is worse than Gimli (who himself is not a paragon of playability). He's got worse reducers, less consistent attack, less damage potential, and no indomitable, and he's still crippled by the embarrassing 6 speed. The 14 ESD combined with Flurry end-dial is depressing. His epic action is...okay, although not the most impressive use of a power action.
Aaaah, I get it. If every fig that comes out isn't Sentry/Void with a full Gauntlet people have a hard time winning.:)
I didn't compare him to Sentroid, and in the first post I made I didn't even highlight the difference between him and, say, DKR Bane, SI Thing, IH Abomination, CW Hawkeye...you get the point. In comparing Thorin to Gimli, Aragorn, and the Nazgul (so other Lord of the Ring characters in the 75-120 point range) I feel like he comes up short. His dial just isn't very good.

I get it. I was just having some fun. I think his dial is a little weak. Gimli is much more playable than Thorin. I agree.
P.S. I do think it is best to compare these figs to LOTR and not the Marvel or DC figs. I would rarely if ever play them in a tourney that is not LOTR/Hobbit specific. They just don't stack up and I don't think they are meant too.
