I've been trying to figure out theme teams tonight.

In the rulebook it states:

"Themed teams are forces of HeroClix characters
in which all characters share at least one common
keyword among the keywords listed on their character
cards."

But then later the chart it says for a build total 0-300 you only need 2 named figures for it to be theme (thus getting the 2 prob control per game).

So, my question is does your entire team need the same keyword to be considered theme or just whatever the chart in the rulebook states?

They all need the same keyword. And the requirement for number of characters is based on the type of keyword you use.

The entire force needs to share a keyword to get theme team bonuses.
You also need the minimum number of characters (2 or 3 per 300 points)
It's two separate requirements.

The statment is referring to you need 2 characters with the named keyword to get the probs at 300 points.

The above link is to a thread by Saturnflight which contains his theme team reference card. One of the cards contains the basic rules and the other a list of generic keywords. I don't know if this will help you understand theme team requirements better but it helped me a lot.

Your entire team needs to share the keyword and you need at least 2 characters with a shared keyword to get PC on a 0-300 team. What that means is you can't play Sentry and Void by itself for 300 and gain PC as you fail to meet the minimum 2 character requirement.
