I have a few choices, and I love input from old and new players alike...
I have a fun little theme team cooked up. Because my venue is so competetive, I will not put the entire team up here(hey, Thugit's crew! ).
To put it simply, my team is REALLY balanced, except that it lacks backup pieces(perplex, PC, outwit and Support).
My choices are between:

(Special) Difficult to Spot: Invisible Jet modifies its defense value by -1 against ranged combat attacks for each opposing character adjacent to it.
(Vehicle) Taking Cover Beneath the Wings: Friendly characters adjacent to Invisible Jet can use Super Senses but only succeed on a roll of 6; when they use this Super Senses and roll a 1 or 2, after the attack resolves deal Invisible Jet 1 unavoidable damage.
I do not need a taxi, and this would end up being living blocking/interference.

(Special) Sorceress of the Deep: Mera may target opposing characters within 6 squares that occupy or are adjacent to water terrain with close combat attacks.
(Attack) Aquakinesis: Mera can use Telekinesis. If Mera uses Telekinesis to place an opposing character that currently occupies water terrain, modify her attack value by +3.
The TK could be really handy, but my team is already a little mobile. She could help a lot, but I am really looking for somthing like with Perplex, Outwit, or PC.

(Damage) Join Me in My Madness: Shade the Changing Man can use Perplex and Shape Change.
Either of these guys would be awesome.

(Defense) Time Slide: Mindwarp can use Super Senses. Once per turn when Mindwarp has no action tokens, if he can draw line of fire to both the target of an attack and the attacker, the target may use Super Senses if it's a friendly character. If the target evades the attack by this use of Super Senses, place Mindwarp in a square adjacent to the target.
Mindwarp would also work well with my team.

Steel could make a great second/third string attacker, but like I said: I want some PC/OW/Perplex...
So that's what I have to choose from. Some input/advice would be great. Thanks!

Of the choices listed, it looks like the best 2 would be Mindwarp or Shade. Both of them give you the solid options of PC or Perplex. Of the two, I would probably go with Shade, on his A side. You get so many more options, with barrier and smoke cloud along with the perplex.
Mindwarp's SS power seems to be too unreliable to really work, as you have to have LoF to the attacker and the target, along with 0 action tokens. That's a lot of work for one SS roll!

That is what I was thinking. I also considered Deadman a bit, but he doesn't do QUITE what I want... Any one else's imput is excepted, too. lol
