Not as fragile as the R and he can do damage like the V. But for 150pts, a little bit fragile. Gladly, he's a mystical so GG GF Dr. Strange will help him a lot.
5 star figure right here! With Auto Regen he's an absolute monster. My favorite of his 3 starting lines, as he can fit on most teams easily while still being a major threat. Your opponent will know fear when you field the Man-Thing.
I see this and my first thought is.. What a great looking Sorcerer Supreme in the making, as if he weren't amazing enough as is... Combine him with Ghost rider for amazing Poison action (Penance stare making GR's damage all penetrating....), its like you don't even need to roll for these guys... ^^
I miss? PC it. You hit? PC it. I hit? I can do better, PC anyways. You miss? I DIDN'T SEE SNAKE EYES, PC IT!
What a beast! I feel this is my favorite point value to play him at. Having his special Poison for 3 clix is perfect, and a solid 11 movement while Phasing allows this heap of annoyance to get EXACTLY where he needs to be. On top of that, he can carry someone with him if he wants too for a small movement drop, or multiple people if you're playing themed. So not only can he deal damage just by being himself and adjacent, he can bring a scarier figure along with him.
Now your opponent has to choose between potentially 3 damage just for Man-Thing chilling around, or between the beater you just brought along for the ride. Either way, they are screwed. If they hit Man-Thing, they get hurt anyway, possibly getting them off a good click. Or, if they don't go for him, 4 penetrating melee damage is coming at them on top of whatever your other figs are pushing out.
I really can't believe how good this figure is. It immediately draws attention. You either react to him, or he will slowly whittle your forces down, while playing keep away. He gets a lot of Regen near the end, helping keep him in the game while his DV gets low enough for even the classic old 19 point Medics to patch him up. If he had Indom, i'd probably claim this piece overpowered. He feels just right as he is, for all his point values.
Edit: Though I'm actually surprised he didn't get the Swim movement symbol. *Shrug* Not a huge deal, but would have been a nice touch, but might have altered his cost overall.
Tenoutaten!
