Today we kick off previews for the next set, DC HeroClix: Teen Titans! What better way to start than by showing off the two new innovations to HeroClix, the SwitchClix base and the new Team Dial mechanic. Today, we’ll get familiar with how these dials work and the stats and combat abilities of a Team Dial, and in the next couple of articles, we will look at the bulk of the dials for the characters. With this in mind, let’s start off than with a titular Team Dial, straight off the cover of the classic Marv Wolfman and George Perez run of the same name, New Teen Titans!

Wtf? Could this thing be more complicated? Im going to have to sit down and seriously read these rules over and over just to get an idea of whats going on. Consider me unimpressed. Will just be another mechanic thats either way OP or underpowered due to being new.

This looks so confusing... isn't the whole point of the game to construct a team itself? I see that they're trying to promote more comic accuracy and appeal to that vs min-max teams... but this entire mechanic looks extremely cumbersome.

This thing reads like the rules out of Star Fleet Battles (the telephone book sized rule book game!)...

I am even more disinterested in teambases now than when they announced them.

What I loved about Heroclix was how simple the game was to pick up and play.

I think I get the gist, but that was a bit much on the eyes.

I'm not quite against these, per se, but I'm definitely beginning to feel the weight of new mechanics, and I've played D&D for years.

I'll gladly pick up each of the Titans to make my own teams or play individually. But I can almost guarantee I won't play them on this base. Too cumbersome and I really cannot imaging trying to explain the rules for them each round to my opponent.

So in short, Team bases will look cool on my shelf.

I think I get 3 or was it 4 free actions and I think I can use PC, instead of theme teamed PC's, if they are on the base? My brain hurts!

(Guys, just read it over slowly, it's basically just a very mobile colossal with a variety of abilities!)

Looks like fun to me. I am tickled by the idea of (for instance) playing this at 280, detaching two figs, and leaving a Robin that's 4 squares wide, has Running Shot, Psychic Blast, Outwit, Prob, and 4 actions per turn. I also like assigning the Gauntlet to Vehicles and other silly tactics, so your mileage may vary.

If you don't like having the same kind of fun, well, no one's making you use it.

Just when I think about coming back to HC I see these types of things.

Awesome I think I got it all besides theme team probs becoming team base probs? And no explanation on spinning the asset dial. So with that bring them on exspecialy the new watx gold and blue team bases.
