T-BOLT'S CHOSEN TRANSPORT: Man-Thing can use Phasing/Teleport. Man-Thing can use the Carry ability and when he does, he may carry two characters with the Mystical or Thunderbolts keyword and his speed value is not modified by it.
Does he suffer from the -2 to movement if he carries one non-mystic or non-thunderbolt? the way it is worded seems like he can do all of the listed thing. he can carry and carry two if they fit the bill, and his speed value is not modified
I'm nearly positive he has to carry a Thunderbolt or Mystical figure in order to not have his speed value modified by carry. I have not seen an official ruling though.
Id say if he is carrying anyone at all, his speed value is not modified...the and breaks up the power....also, the may before, "carry two characters with the Mystical or Thunderbolts keyword...", makes me think that carrying T-bolt's or mysticals, is optional and the latter half of the power is not dependent on them being the ones hitching a ride....
His speed value is not modified no matter who (whom?) he carries. There is no qualifier that states carrying a Mystic or Thunderbolt is necessary for the movement portion.
I'd say you only get the mod-blocking if you carry carry the two Mystical/T-Bolt figures.
The may is encompassing the whole thing inside the brackets below.

fair enough. i imagine this is the intended way this power works but it's wording def needs changing. i'm gonna assume he gets the mod-block if he only carries one thunderbolt or one mystical as well.
Correct, but it's not characters with the Mystics TA he has to carry. He has to Carry two characters with the mystical keyword. Big difference.
sorry for the confusion, when i said mystics i was referring to keyword. so if he carries two people with the mystics or thunderbolt keyword he gets full movement. ive got that. but, if he only carries one piece with the mystics keyword OR one piece with the thunderbolts keyword he will suffer the -2 to movement?

Oh OK.
And yes. That seems to be the deputy ruling. He has to carry two figures with the appropriate keywords to prevent modifying his speed value.

I think this is probably correct, now that I've though about it awhile.

Increasing movement by carrying more is something that is already in the game. If a character carries two Hal Jordans they would have a net +3 to their movement. So, it really isn't that weird that when Man-Thing is actually being used for one of the things he's good for, the chosen transport, and not just as a regular old everyday transport, he gets a little excited and gets there quicker.

I'm pretty sure they make pills to fix that.
