ok, so I'm very confused. the rule book says you can pay for 1 resource, but if that's true, how can we have items on the utility belt (since once they're attached they're resources, not relics)?

also, the rule book has separate sections for immobile objects and special objects, then says "relics are immobile objects". does this mean that relics aren't special objects, and this we can use them with resources? help!

Utility belt items are not resources. They're items that can be attached to the utility belt, which is the resource.

Relics are objects that are both immobile and special objects, and therefore cannot be used with the utility belt.

With objects, you have multiple descriptors. All objects have 1 applicable descriptor from Column A and 1 from Column B:

Light......Standard
Heavy......Special
Immobile

So, it's possible for an object to be immobile and standard, but we don't have any yet. (Although I'm told that there is one that's only available in HCO, but I really want one for the physical game.)

Also, the way to determine if an object is special or standard is by the presence of the little gear symbol. If it's there, it's a special object. Be aware, though, that a few special objects were missing the symbol and had to have errata in the PG saying that they have it, so it's good to check there if you're unsure.

No. They are not special objects by default. They are special objects only if they have the gear symbol.

NML Poison Ivy's Plants could be considered immobile standard objects. Her card doesn't have a picture of the plant object showing a gear symbol (unlike Scorpio or Captain America). When I had previously pointed this out to normalview, he responded with "sounds good to me", or words to that effect. Oddly, I can't find the original thread I had posted this in. It must have been deleted.

That's true. I should have specified that what I want is one that I can use as one of my 3 objects on my force, just because.

And it might not be that the thread was deleted; I think the search function is still a little wonky.

For example, if you destroy a vehicle, it becomes an Ultra-Heavy object. Since that object doesn't have the gear symbol, it's standard.

Someday, I want to have SI Hercules or Crisis Superman carry around two destroyed vehicles.
