Can someone point me to an official ruling on Pulse Wave vs. Stealth/Batman team ability?
My venue has fallen into saying that Pulse wave cannot draw lines of fire before activating if a stealthed character is the only target. Not surprisingly this devolution in play has come with the release of the last two Batman sets.
The power clearly says lines of fire are ONLY blocked by elevated and blocking terrain. In addition the new PAC specifically says "IGNORES HINDERING TERRAIN" via the new symbology. To me, this seems to be just like the Superman team ability in targeting. I don't know how much more obvious this can be. However, since stealth says ALL lines of fire, they want to read it in favor of their favorite figures......nevermind that hindering is ignored both in drawing lines of fire and attack.
Can someone please point me to the right place. I can't find it in the PAC, Player Guide, or realms searches. Surely someone else has run in to this.
Pulsewave now ignores hindering terrain for LOF purposes. Since it ignore hindering terrain, LOF to characters (while crossing hindering terrain) using Stealth would be clear LOF.

I once had the new pulse wave rules explained to me like this; Pulse wave is like a nuke, it doesn't matter where you hide, if you are in the blast radius you get hit, no exceptions. A little crude maybe but it fits the new rules for pulse wave rather well I think.
The Hunger....its to much I can't control it..AARRGGHH THE HUNGER!!!!!
WHAT DID YOU EXPECT A STEALTH SUIT TO BE ABLE TO DO?: Spider-Man can use Stealth. Any line of fire drawn to Spider-Man is blocked if he has no action tokens.
Would this prevent Pulse Wave targetting?

Just like the Batman from the new Justice League set, lines of fire are blocked, the character is not using hindering terrian for stealth. Therefore you cannot target them with Pulsewave

Thanks, Chessman. S'what I ruled last night, also, though it was merely for Outwit. Standing there, out in the open, with no LOFs being drawn to him. Amazing!

Real world explanations for game mechanics are never a good idea.
Stealth will not block Line of Fire from Pulse Wave, because Pulse Wave ignores Hindering Terrain.
However, anything that blocks Line of Fire outright would prevent Pulse Wave from targeting that figure. The Hand ATA for instance blocks LoF to a character if that character is adjacent to a Wall or square of Blocking Terrain.
Which is one of the reasons the Prime Hobgoblin is so nasty. He can benefit from things like Perplex and Hydra TA from friendly figures, even if they are within range of the Pulse Wave, so long as they have the ATA and are adjacent to the requisite terrain.

Yes it would, I actually forgot about his SP, mainly because he didn't impress me all that much as a Spider-Man, and yeah we have plenty of ways of avoiding it all together, and yes maybe the way it was explained is not that great, but pulse wave still ignores enough stuff to make it very dangerous, if it's limitation doesn't kick in anyway. I mostly use pulse wave against people for a number of reasons, 1) they have shape change and super senses instead of reducers, 2)they have reducers and i have no way of breaking them without pulse wave, and 3) if I am against a swarm, it becomes useful, like quake.

Reason: had to try and make my point clear. and make up for previous comment.

yes it would prevent lof unless it also said something like ih a-bomb. his camo will not prevent pw lof:
CAMOUFLAGE: When A-Bomb is adjacent to a wall or blocking terrain, any line of fire drawn to him for a ranged combat attack is blocked.
this changes the timing and a-bomb will get nuked.

Sure, Cosmic Spidey can draw LoF to all those guys mentioned, but unless you are giving him Pulse Wave with the Gauntlet or something, it isn't really applicable.
