Sorry if this was mentioned before but in the new FAQ it says the printed dial value cannot be changed or modified in any way. That means no perplexing the attack value of your medic up?

That is correct. Nor can you perplex the injured character's defense down. It's just straight up attack versus defense.

That's what it sounds like to me. I guess they don't want to make healing to easy.

Actually its been that way since the start. PAC says ignore all modifiers and that is a modifier.

Blastaar, Hulk, and Klaw are some of the hardest to heal. Until its to late .

But if you are playing a 3 or 4 player game using hulk ... sometimes people will avoid hitting you right away, so not to make them stronger

I don't understand. What makes it different to perplex an attacking figure's attack value with perplexing medic's attack value? Aren't they the same?

It's a restriction on the support power. The PAC has always stated: "Ignore all modifiers to the close combat attack."

The new FAQ entry merely clarifies this (i.e. just use actual printed values).

Why the restriction? Possibly game balance? That's up to the designers. Personally, I prefer no perplex with support - healing should be difficult.

I agree, healing should not be easy. Perplex is pretty powerful (but NOT broken IMHO) the way it is, but that would send it off the charts.

I dunno I think Perplex needs to be dialed down some. I think Perplex needs to be limited more.

I would suggest a rule such as:

You can only perplex an opponents figure or that figure itself. You can not use Perplex to increase another team members attributes.

This would help solve some of the Con Artist Cheese teams.

I guess you could say don't change the rules because some people are cheap...

But this isn't just because people are cheap, I never quite understood the perplexing a team mate. The ability reads you are acting in a misleading or confusing manner that surprises the enemy. Not your team mate or such. And it still leads Perplex just as powerful, because you can still perplex yourself and use others to perplex the other members abilities down.

This is just my one opinion and if you don't like I understand...oh well.

You know, I have bought quite a few XP boosters. To date I only have 1 rookie Con Artist! How the hell can I abuse that?
