Quick questions, because of the Golden Rule "Replace Then Modify" i could get some "extra hits" if i perplex the range? And because of the part of "make a ranged combat attack against a single target using his printed damage value..." does that mean i can modify, it never says its locked, or all attacks would be the printed damage?
Arc Lightning: Give Electro a power action and make a ranged combat attack against a single target using his printed damage value. Each time he hits, after actions resolve, he may then make a ranged combat attack as a free action against another single target as if he occupied the previously hit character's square, replacing his range value with his printed range value minus the number of hits he has made this turn with this power.

Perplexing up his would increase the range to your first target, sure, but every target after that is based on printed range minus previous hits.
Your first attack would use printed damage, but the subsequent attacks would use his modified damage.

This is incorrect. You replace his range with printed minus previous hits and because of the rule of "replace then modify" after that replacement you will modify the range with the amount of Perplex used.
The calculation goes like this:
First attack: Printed range + modifier
Other attacks: (Printed range - hits) + modifier
Can (Printed range - hits) be a negative value, or minimum is 0 even for this sub-expression?
In the latter case, this power and a little perplex could be exploited for infinite use, back and forth through 2 adjacent miniatures.

If the interpretation is correct, and you Modified his range +3 via SHIELD or Perplex, his range would never go below a 3. His Range-Hits would go to zero and then continue to be modified by +3 continuously. Of course once he misses, the chain is over. And a miss is pretty likely well before his Range-Hits ever reaches zero.

Yes, but...
If the range value is greater than 0 and your character is not adjacent to an opposing character, then your character can make a ranged combat attack. A character can attack in any direction, regardless of the direction it is facing.
Once your value is 0 you cannot make Ranged Combat Attacks.

There is no minimum in place for the replacement value. If you perplex range up by +3, then hit 8 targets, your replacement value would be (7-8) = -1.
Then take that -1 replacement and modify it (-1) + 3 = 2. So 2 range left for that bounce.

It isn't that the replacement can't drop below zero, the final result may not. And it isn't that it may not persay, the final result can drop negative but then is simply considered 0. So you replace with the negative, then modify it with whatever applies, and if you have a number less than 0 it is 0. But, if the replacement is negative and the +3 brings it back positive like in my example, you use the result and forget about minimums.
So yes, short answer is that every +1 range adds an extra bounce potential. If you want an infinite loop, pick up doc oc arms which sets your minimum range to 4 so no matter how many hits it cant drop below 4.

Good catch. Somehow my sleep deprived brain threw back to the LOSH rules.
The first attack is printed damage. Each subsequent attack is just a regular old ranged combat attack so it uses his modified damage. So, you could do 3, 6, 6, 6...etc
That's what i thought so, well thanks, i just fall in love of that Electro XD
You should see him with Chanos <shudder> Couple AIM renegades, chanos and electro, summon the top 2 figures and bounce back and forth until they are toast.
