Same size and proper lines drawn! I tried to bust out my old out door map from infinity challenge and it didnt have the proper lines around elevated :-(

Very true. Maps without color codes are not officially legal.
Per the official tournament rules, all maps need to be the same size. So it's pretty much only possible if everyone is playing on a mini-map.
On my tablet here and can't look stuff up very well this way, but I believe the document says that official 2x3 or 3x3 maps may be used, space permitting.

Gah, I had meant hindering, not elevated. Elevated was one of the things that was actually drawn. You had to guess at hindering which was hilarious since the maps are so chaotic with their artwork as is. Talk about ambiguity. Then again, back in those days galactus had cosmic multiattack and could kill most of my team and then hide behind a building. We were able to kill him at full power eventually, with a vet Robin from Hypertime weighing in at 22 pts. He was thenceforth known as "Robin the Assassin".

I'm at work and can't look up stuff easily either. You may be right though.

From the Comprehensive Tournament Rules
1.2.10 Maps: Any WizKids-created HeroClix map is considered official, with the exception of maps from Star Trek: Tactics. Official 36- by 36-inch maps (3 x 3) can be used in any HeroClix event. Official 24- by 36-inch maps (2 x 3) can be used in any HeroClix event when only two players are playing on that map. Maps of other sizes – even those created by WizKids – can’t be used in a HeroClix event. Venues may dictate that maps are restricted to 2 x 3 maps if space issues are a concern. Venues may dictate for an event that only a particular map (or maps) will be used for any or all of a specific round, though this should be announced prior to the event. All WizKids sponsored events will only permit the use of maps that include the color designations for terrain and starting areas.

Maybe I was remembering an old rule or something...
I think so. I know that sounded right. I recall various combinations of any WizKids map was legal, any map with terrain marked was legal, any WizKids map was legal but they all needed to be the same size...we've had a few versions over the years.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
Not only that, but I was under the impression that maps tied to specific sets were governed by the golden/modern age restrictions. Looks like that has never been a rule, that I can tell.
I won't look at your dial-on-card, I don't look at my own, and you don't need to see my DOC, ever. Otherwise, we're not playing HeroClix.

Nope, another misconception is Map Rules. They are not optional when choosing maps, I have a House Rule stateing that map chooser gets to also choose if they want to use the rules or not.
