Name: Catgirl Unit Num: 093 Point Cost: 35 Team: Batman Ally Game Play Info: From the Dark Knight Strikes Again series, Catgirl is the elder Batman’s latest side kick. She brings an interesting combination of abilities to the table, using either Energy Explosion to damage multiple foes at range, or using her Running Shot to remain mobile while weakening the competition. For a low cost of 35 points, Catgirl should fit into any army that wants to deal with swarms or groups.
Game Design Notes Catgirl, from Dark Knight Strikes Again, is a fast-moving ranged attacker who’s made to target groups of characters. That’s the role she played in the comic, so that’s how I made her behave in the game. She has a short dial because she’s a teenage girl, but the few clicks she has are filled with powers that should make her useful and keep her on the battlefield. Right off the bat (no pun intended) she has Running Shot and Energy Explosion, so even though she targets only one character, she can affect many more if they’re grouped together. After the first click she loses Running Shot, but then has Leap/Climb to reflect her ability to move freely through opponents and obstacles. Defensively, she has a good defense value coupled with Super Senses. That combination should allow her to avoid being hit. Lastly, she has the Batman Ally team ability, otherwise known as Stealth. Keep her in hindering terrain and she’ll be safe from retaliatory ranged attacks.
I suspect that HSS reference means something other than that she has it - unless she has it on her last click or something. Besides making no sense, and costing enough so that she couldn't possible be 35 points with all of those other powers, the description of her powers seems to contradict it.
