I have two questions that I probably already know the answers too. Anyway here they are.
I was using unique Elektra fron xplosion and was adjacent to two grounded characters. I wanted to mind control them both but realized I could not. She has two lightning bolts and I figured the only way I could have done that is if they were flying characters. Am I right?
Also a friend of mine used Braniac to mind control my medic to heal him. However he needed to push to do this. The medic healed him to his starting point but I told him he will still take push damage after all that is done since push damage happens after the action is completed. Am I right? Thanks.

Youre right on the first scenario and pretty sure youre right again on the second.

Push damage is always applies at the end of the action.

You still could have Mind Controlled one of them though. Mind Control is also a close combat attack, so you could have made one of them do something.

As you laready determined, the number of lightning bolts is the number of ranged attacks you have. As long as there is at least one opposing grounded figure adjacent to your grounded figure, you cannot make a ranged attack on any of the adjacent figures.
