I recently participated in a 300 point event where I was the receipient of a Mind Control attack. However, I feel that it was executed in error. Here was the situation;
My opponent has 3 moves due to the 300 point construction of his Army.
Action 1; He first attempt to have his Paramedic heal his Hercules, He is succesful.
Action two; Moves his Destiny into an open space on the board; Action completed.
Action three; Attempts to Mind Control my Psylocke with his Sauron; He is Succesful in his attack. He then places a Token on Psylocke and proceeds to attack my Phoenix (adjacent to Psylocke) with Blades and Claws. He hits, but only rolls a 1. He ends his Turn.
I questioned him to the fact that in order for the Mind Control to be effective, He would have needed an Unused action in order for him to actually have attacked with Psylocke. Technically, he performed four actions. Had he not moved Destiny, or healed Hercules, he would have had the action needed to legally make an attack with Psylocke.
Am I wrong here or did I get duped? How does the Mind Control work? Does the effect of Mind Control compel me to save one of my actions in order to control an opponents figure legally?
Please let me know.
Respectfully,
Whether or not Destiny is a free move, the action you take with a mind controlled fig does not count towards the amount of actions you can take in one turn. So the move was legit.
A wise old Irishman once told me to never listen to wise old sayings !
Boy, sadley and Four_Wind pointed out two reasons why you were mistaken.
But no, the action you use to mind control someone doesn't take away from your actions. Just imagine how useless mind control would be in a 100 point game if that was the case. Oh well, I used to think that rolling for leadership gave a character a token.
