i read in wizard (i think it was wizard) that a metal men movie is in the works! i dont know very much about the metal men, besides the fact that they are robots with names that are metals (mercury, iron, lead, platinum, gold, and somone else i think) and they fight crime (duh). but that's really it. so anyone that has info on the metal men or the movie, post it here!

Before the T1000, there were The Metal Men. Scientist Doc Magnus, an expert in robotics, created a device that allowed metal to be in a permanently malleable shape, while still retaining qualities unique to the metal. Basically you had a bunch of shapeshifting robots (a la Mr. Fantastic and Plastic Man). It was a great series that shew robots to be more humane than humans. While the heroes themselves were lighthearted, they faced some really serious evil. Doc Magnus later suffers a fatal wound and downloads his conciousness into a robotic body. The "Men" were:
Gold
Platinum (Tina)
Lead
Iron
Aluminum (Tin)
& Mercury

Hope this helps. Either the movie will be nothing like the series, or it will be almost all CGI.
