Great Phoenix SP here. Rolling a 6 is much harder for an opponent than rolling a 5 or 6. Therein lies Namor's strength. Also Drown Wakanda is no joke. Namor can set up brutal piercing damage options which is key in competitive heroclix. Being a wildcard is a bonus and provides lots of synergy in high point games. These Phoenix 5 chases are all impressive and blow any other chases ever released out of the water except for maybe Crisis Supermen. This Namor is quite powerful since he is friendly to himself.

I am curious, with his Phoenix Force trait could you even succeed on a Shape Change roll with the Skrull TA since it is technically a Shape Change roll?
If at first you don't succeed, then so much for skydiving.

Probably the best of the 5, just from wildcard. Mystics + Power Cosmic + 9 clicks of amazing stats makes for a beast to kill. Can only use wildcard in 300+ point games though so he is balanced. His drown Wakanda SP turns on a lot of really cool characters also like Attuma and NerKkod.
No doubt Vyker, Namor is one of the best Phoenix 5, but Magik also has all the built in bells and whistles for competitive play. free action barrier,19 defense with Probability Control and Mystics, on top of the goodies they share. I love Namor's ranged Piercing potential with SP's, but... Do the Phoenix 5 have a realistic chance at beating Spiral, Chanos,Cop Cars, JLTB, Shi'ar TB,Bat-mite, Heroes For Hire Ghost Rider/voodoo, Old School Galactus, other colossals,Cosmic Spiderman, Metron/Nightcrawler etc in high point games around 400-600 point level...?
Chase Namor and Magik do which is seriously saying something about the quality of these chases. If objects are placed mindfully for a good TK, Emma chase is also potentially competitive. And Cyclops has enough pink Invincible clicks anything could happen. Despite Colossus versatlity, he is the weakest of the bunch, yet still pretty beefy with an excellent 150 point option, arguably the best.
Namor here is pure Clutch!

To clarify, you cannot counter Combat Symbols, you counter Combat Abilities. The Wing Symbol provides Flight and Carry, which require separate uses of Outwit to counter.
