if so, how so? I thought, for example, with V-Ultron, I'd target 3 targets, say with enhancement, and then the damage to the first target resolves, then the damage to the 2nd target resolves, and so on or do they all take the damage at once?
The way I've played it was that first of all, with 3 lightning bolts, I'd target rogue, quicksilver, and kingpin all at once...
i always played it like this, first 2 to r q and k, then 2 to q k r, then 2 to k r q, and ultron gets no damage thanks to his invulnerability...am i right?
or do they all get 6 at once, including ultron which would knock him for 4 damage?
thanks!

yea i hope it s the first part, allowing each target to resolve so his invulnerability would soak up the 2 each time, but if it s 6, i d best move back a space and launch the EE

Energy Explosion does stack. The attacks on all three targets are happening simultaneously, so the damage occurs at the same time also. That means 6 to everybody. Ultron will actually only take 3 though, due to Enhancement only affecting opposing figures, which will then be reduced by invulnerability down to 1. Energy Explosion can only be targeted on opposing figures, but once you hit an opponent with it then everyone next to that figure takes splash damage, including friendly figures, and even the figure making the attack if he's base to base with the target.
If ultron is standing next to somebody he EEs then he will take damage too. Per the FAQ...
"Compare that result (the attack roll) to the defense value of the target character and every character in base contact with the target character."
It doesn't exclude the character that made the attack.
As for it being "stackable", I would say yes. Again from the FAQ...
"If a character with this power can attack multiple targets, Energy Explosion can be used to target all of them. All the damage done by each "explosion" takes place at the same time, so Toughness and Invulnerability can stop only part of the total damage."
I may be wrong, but that's how I read it.

Originally posted by fridayweb Quicksilver takes 6.
Kingpin takes 6, 5 if he's Tough.
Rogue takes 6, 4 if she's still Invulnerable.
Ultron takes 4 with Invulnerability.
You are almost right here. Since Enhancement only deals damage to opposing figures, Ultron Would take 3 damage from splash, reduced by his invulnerability to 1.
If SHIELD upped the damage instead of Enhancement, Ultron would take 6-2=4 damage, as the SHIELD team ability does not differentiate between friendlies and enemies.
