I finally got around to reading my collection of New 52 Legion Lost books (6 months after the title was cancelled) and I have the following observations...mostly skewed by the Teen Titans HeroClix release:
1) The book itself started as something I didn't like very much, but I did enjoy it towards the end.
2) The Culling crossover included a headshot of all the characters from Teen Titans, ravagers, and the Legion Lost...and the only characters that were not made in the HeroClix Teen Titans set were Legion Members! This includes Tyroc, Gates, Chameleon Girl, and Tellus...each of whom would have a welcome powerset in HeroClix dial terms.
3) The only SR I am missing from the set (Harvest) turns out to have a very specific relationship to a long-time favorite character of mine who has only appeared in one HeroClix set...a loooong time ago...in versions that are quite bad. Now I am torn about not having Harvest!
It was a decent series. Not the best Legion I've read, but it wasn't Gerry Conway era bad either. I just wish it had resolved properly, because the last issue didn't act like a last issue.
I'm assuming Justice League took their place in the team base department. I would've gladly accepted that roster into Clix, what with a new Dawnstar and third attempt at Wildfire, as well as a better version of Timber Wolf. We would've finally gotten Clix versions of Tellus (best looking telepath in comics), Gates, Tyroc (nu52 drastically improved his look), & Chameleon Girl.
The Culling kind of miffed me when I read it as it came out. Now I want to bust this series out and read it again. Thanks, tidge!

Yes, as i was generally enjoying Legion Lost, it really annoyed me that we got everything from Culling butt the legionares in Titans. ....
From the parts of the Culling I read, the only non-Legionnaire "super power" characters with significant page time that weren't made in the Teen Titans set was Psykill, but almost any of the recent Cyborg figures (especially with Pulse Wave) is a decent enough substitute.

What relationship? All I know about Harvest is that re was running the NOWHERE show.

Well...there were blatant statements that Harvest was from the 31st Century and was very familiar with the Legionnaire's personal histories...
...and there was this bit of backstory in Legion Lost...
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The character of Nathaniel Adym was introduced as a 31st century Science Police officer leading E.C.H.O. which was sort of a riff on the old Time Traxx TV show...where 31st century criminal were sent into 'protective custody' in the past.
Naturally I thought that the character was
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Captain Atom, who had somehow been 'leaped' forward in time, because that was his post-Crisis schtick, but apparently that character is a 'memory shard' or somesuch. Anywho, that character travels to the past to stop a world-beater.
In the ensuing dialogue (issues 15 and 16 of LL) it is revealed that
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Adym is perfectly quoting Harvest (or vice versa) as to their motives, and the only way to beat the world beater is to have Adym use his time Bubble to self-destruct (or something)...and Harvest makes sure that Adym can carry this out, gives him some special tech, and then after Adym succeeds (getting thrown further in the past) Harvest remarks that now that those actions have taken place, he is looking forward to the future, since he no longer knows what will happen.
So basically...
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Harvest is Captain Atom, with a measure of Monarch added.
??? As in another canceled title? (I don't pay alot of attention to comic related news, I just read various titles)
Just ended this week. Also it was the most action with respect to characters for the series as we saw
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
the return of the Fatal Five
The death of Sun Boy
The death of Starman Thom Kallor
The dismemberment of Mon-El
The Legion disband per orders of the United Planets
It went out with a bang.
I jus wish we knew the final fates of these Legion Lost folk. They are presumed dead by the 31st century team, but the end of their own series still shows them as a team in current day DCU.
And now there are zero Legion books on the market with a possibly related Justice League 3000 book slated for November due to artist changes.

They are the 31st century Legion of Super-Heroes from Earth 2.
I'm not sure how I feel about *that*. It adds yet another layer to the LSH publishing history that was (I suppose) inevitable.
Where was this revealed?
EDIT: Nevermind. I'm re-reading LSH #23 when I get home as well as Earth 2 #1.
Not sure what to feel about this either, but it does help solve "this isn't my Legion" issue, especially with the subtle differences in this continuity:
-Gates being a team member before Chameleon Girl
-Chameleon Girl joined as an undercover agent of ECHO, unlike her joining under previous continuity to replace Shrinking Violet.
-This helps explain no mentioning of Supergirl and little of Superman up until this point.
-Tyroc's hair
I'm sure there are other points, but relegating this team to another universe is remedying the problems fans could have had with team deaths and the status of the team(s).
So now I'm wondering which Legion future did the Legion Lost team travel to in issue #10. Was it theirs? Earth 1?
Again, making this a separate Legion could be the best thing for now. I'm now interested in seeing the Earth 1 Legion, as the adult counterparts of Earth 1 Legion's Lightning Lad, Cosmic Boy, and Saturn Girl appeared under the Grant Morrison Action comics run.

That LSH future from Legion Lost is a great question...lucky for us it is so open-ended that the answer could be anything. There is real weirdness about Legion Lost because of the Wildfire/Tyroc futures don't exactly synch with the LSH future.
It does make me feel better about the New52 Legion Origin 6-issue series however.

Great. Now I'm going to re-read that Origin series.
So now Justice League 3000 could be set in 31st century earth 1. That could have been why Giffen was telling people it wasn't related to the Legion being published.

The Legion of Earth 1 IS the Justice League 3000. DC doesn't know what to do with the Legion of Super Heroes because they think no one likes them (spoiler, people don't like it when you #### with continuity ever 2 years and reboot their favorite heroes constantly)
The Legion being from Earth 2 would have been an amazing thing had James Robinson still been heading Earth 2, but with him leaving the book DC has control over the destruction of another universe again.
I may ask to borrow some of this Legion stuff (IDK if any of my group has the whole run or not) and read up on it. I've always had a soft spot for the Legion and this seems like it could be something fun to read.
