the tournament was a 300 pt with no flyers
i recently played a team consisting of

Nightcrawler U
Con Artist R x4
Hand Ninjas x3
Blizzards x2 (i think)

hes strategy was to pulsewave his con artists. then he would move all hand ninjas on top of items for stleath and hyudra ability. he leaves nightcrawler in the middle nad would use barrier around him. waiting for attacks and perpelxing nightcrawler's damage and movement. one question about his

HOW THE HELL DO YOU BEAT THAT?????

a combination of things: outwit, and range. take out the blizzards as fast as possible, then he's left with nothin'.

if indoors, someone with phasing (silver samurai comes to mind) would be golden. just phase him through, then cut up the support.

outwit could then be used to nullify nightcrawlers hypersonic speed.

also, if you have a higher point cost, just stay at the other end of the map as much as possible. he has to move there eventually, so take out stuff as it gets close. if he decides to wait it out, you'll walk away with more points.

Also a fun tactic is Mind Controlling a Blizzard to Pulse Wave his own Con Artists again, out of Perplex. I don't normally have Mind Control in my tournament teams, but you might.

Lastly, Outwit is correct. As long as you can keep HSS Outwitted, you can just use a sacrificial lamb to chase Nightcrawler around and keep him busy while you shoot everyone else.

If he won't let you at night crawler take out his con artists.

if you want to take out conartists then throw a few Vet. Snipers on your team for 18pts each, they have 10 range and 2 points of damage from afar. That kills a conartist

everythime id try to take out his con artist i would leave myself open fot the hand ninjas in the middle. it was an outdoor map and he kept everything in a tight pack so going in for a kill was a no no trap. would you go for the 11 points and leave your fig open?

if you could get an attack, why not TK one of their figs into you're guys and then go for the KO?

i can't believe you couldn't TK the silver samurai into contact with the ninjas and Kill them off one by one. They're not strong i can give you that much. Also, you couldn't move the black panther to outwit super senses and shoot nightcrawler with bullseye? 3 damage will put a block in his plans.

Also, white queen isn't the greatest figure to put in. She's slow and doesn't have much mobility. Maybe an E. Beast? He has charge, perplex, and decent damage/attack

all my figs were in place dont get me wrong. i was ready to kill when he started using barrier and perpelxing nioghtcralwers range, movement, and damage . the first fig he took out was bullseye. then when i moved close enough to toss my samurai in to range he would barrier then attack with hand ninjas with perplexed range and damage. with the hydra ability. for most of the game i kept my figs. back out of distance everytime i would even think about attacking he would barrier his nightcralwer and hand ninjas. he kept his blizzards and con artists in the back so i couldnt reach them either

I would definately have tried to take out his conartists. They are the lynchpin of his strategy. Without that perplex, his team just isn't very effective. If he won't give you any other targets, then take the ones he'll let you have. If it's a choice between 0 points and 11 points, I'll take the 11 points.

As I said before .... why didn't you just TK White Queen up to MC a Blizzard, and use Pulse Wave a second time ASAP? With no medics, he'd have nothing left to do all game but throw up barriers between shots of 2 damage from NC.
