I'm new to the forums and a little new to Heroclix as I've been playing for a year now.
I'd like to ask you if these moves I can think to list are currently allowed in the game.
-Can I use my mind controller to mind control my opponent's mind controller to mind control one of his toons on his team?
-If I set up a barrier and knock an opponent back into it would that opposing click take one extra click of damage from hitting the barrier?
-If I have a toon with a defense power that absorbs damage, can I use Mastermind to transfer the damage to that toon so no click takes little to no damage?
-What about with super senses? Could I transfer the damage to a click that could potentially dodge it?
-Can a shape changer attempt to shape change a mind control attempt?
-In the case of the Teen Titans Bunker click where he has permanent barrier, that can only be removed by destroying it or putting up another barrier, can I choose to remove it myself? If I can, is that a power action?
Anything else you guys can think of let me know, I appreciate it!
Welcome to the forums! I'll take a crack at these, and someone else can come behind and fix what I miss

I'm not positive on this one, but I believe that you can.

Yes. A barrier is blocking terrain, and follows the rules as such.

For part a, yes. Mastermind does not bypass damage reducers. But for part b, no. Super Senses turns a potential hit into a miss, but once Mastermind has been applied, the attack has already hit. It can be reduced, but not avoided.

Can a shape changer attempt to shape change a mind control attempt?
Yep. Mind Control is an attack.

Here's the power in question:
Quote
PSIONIC CONSTRUCTS: Terrain markers placed by Bunker are not removed until they are destroyed or until Bunker uses a power that places that type of terrain marker on the map.
So no. There's nothing in there about removing them voluntarily, so the only way to do it is to destroy them or use another power that places that terrain. Notice that it doesn't say Barrier specifically. His smoke cloud is also permanent, and smoke cloud can't be destroyed. It's there until he puts another one down.
If I got any of these wrong, someone can come in and bat cleanup for me, but I hope that helps.
@MSWPanther: welcome to the game, and you've found a good place for answers.
1. Yes. Mind Control lets you take control of an opposing character and give them an action as a free action, so that works fine. Your Mind-dude uses MC on my Controller and has Controller use MC targeting my UltraGuy. Now you give UltraGuy an action as a free action: when that resolves UltraGuy returns to my control. Now Controller takes any feedback damage (based on UltraGuy's point cost) and returns to my control. Now Mind-dude's action resolves including any feedback he would take (based on Controller's point cost).
2. Barrier creates blocking terrain and knock back into blocking causes KB damage, so yes.
3.Mastermind-Dude has (obviously) Mastermind. He transfers the 4 damage from your attack to UltraGuy, who has Impervious. If UltraGuy makes his Impervious roll he takes no damage, if he fails it he takes 2. Mastermind-Dude takes none in any case. However, if the attack deals penetrating damage then the damage transferred is still penetrating and UltraGuy's Impervious roll will do no good, and some damage cannot be transferred (like Precision Strike).
Transferred damage is not from an attack, so you can't roll Super Senses against it.
4.Yes: any time a character with Shape Change is targeted with an attack they can roll, unless the power is being ignored.
5. No: the only ways to remove it are as listed in the power.
@Kodak18: nice job.
4.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
this ain't an mmo game. its a ttg. their are figs not toons.
While the tone and grammar doesn't come across well, I agree that one should avoid using "toons" to describe clix. This is simply because most people won't understand what you mean at first. Most refer to them as pieces, figs, or clix. I've heard one guy call them sculpts if I recall, and that threw me off for a second. Best to use the lingo of the community to ease communication with others.
I've heard the term "toon" thrown around by a coworker to describe his character in other games, and it just doesn't feel right. To me the term feels its supposed to be talking about a cartoon character from a show, usually a kids show. Not how one describes their avatar or main character in a game. Must be getting old .

Might I recommend that you endeavor to use correct grammar and punctuation in your own posts if you're going to criticize the word choice of others?
"Figs" are fruits. "Figures" are the sculpts in HeroClix. "Characters" are the characters.

Tabletop game. Although since I see that more often used in reference to games that do not follow the business model of having many expansions and blind boosters, I think that "collectible miniature game" is the most accurate term that I've seen.

Alrighty, I asked for help in the game, and I got criticized for using the term "toon."
I thought that may happen.
Duly noted, I won't use "toon" to describe Heroclix figures.
Don't sweat it. It's usually better to use the common terminology, but Kodak18 and I could figure it out well enough to answer you. Terminology matters a lot more when it matters for the question ("non-flyer" versus "grounded" or "Line of Fire" versus "Line of Sight".) Joe just gets cranky for no apparent reason.

I am trying to play devil's advocate here but maybe they did not understand what you meant and not intending to be rude? I know somehere has, but I try (TRY! OH LORD, I TRY) not to assume hostility when simple ignorance is a cause
The easiest way to understand heroclix is to understand equivalencies (and what are not)
For example, if a power says it allows a close combat action, any power that requires that type of action can be used with it whereas a granted free close combat attack will not (the powers in question here are Charge for the first, Flurry and Exploit Weakness for the second and Hypersonic Speed for the latter)
For the question of barrier, knowing that is creates blocking terrain will answer the question. A common question I have come across is whether hindering terrain stops knockback (it doesn't) or cause damage when knocked into (ditto)
Don't let one person's rudeness stop you from asking; lots of people here, besides the Oranges (rules deputies), are helpful
Usually the best way to get a good answer is to quote the power or effect in question. To make it easier take a look in the units' section, you can find the latest rules and players' guide there for download.
