Okay... this is a strange situation that occured once in a game... involving two Taskmasters adjacent to one another...now I had a batman in line of fire and within 10 squares of only one of the taskmasters. Now on the team with the taskmasters, there was also a superman enemy, an Intergang medic.
Now the question is... would my Batman be able to Outwit, the Taskmasters Outwit... even when it currently doesn't posess it? Or would my opponent have to leave the taskmasters on Superman Enemy team before I could do that.
On the same note... if you give a figure with the wild card ability outwit(with superman enemies), and then outwit a power... if you change the wild card to say... batman ally at the end of your turn, would the power he was outwitting no longer 'be outwitted'?
You cannot outwit team abilities. If the fwildcards move away from one another or take on another team affiliation then you regain the outwitted power.
Its not outwitting a team ability... Superman Enemies have an odd team ability... when two of them are adjacent to one another, the Superman Enemy with the higher point Value gains Outwit...
Of course... but, perhaps the real question is whether or not the Superman Enemy Team ability is adding a pseudo power to the dial, or simply gives them outwit... *is wondering about the annoyance of an outwit you can't outwit*
Nothing in this game ADDS to the dial, hence there is no psuedo powers or anything. This should not even be a debate at this point because the answer is simple. If you don't see a little colored thing over a number you cannot outwit it. Superman enemy does not magically make blacksquares on your fig over the damage value hence you cannot touch it. I realize this is annoying but the best option is go kill that intergang fig
FAQ, Superman Enemy Team Ability
This ability grants the Outwit power, so if the above conditions are met, it would be possible for an opposing character to Outwit this newly granted Outwit power.
This team ability does grant an actual superpower; the ability cannot be Outwitted, but the superpower can be. Batman can use Outwit in this instance only if there is a power to Outwit---if the two Taskmasters aren't acting as Superman Enemies, then there is no Outwit to remove.
And to the last question---if either Taskmaster switches from the SE team ability, the conditions for the ability will no longer be met, the Outwit will fade, and any Outwitted power will return.
