this is an interesting question that popped up in a game I was playing with a mate on Sunday. We weren't sure, so made up a House Rule that you could, even though I have the sneaking suspicion that you cant't.

After all, a medic is not going to run around helping other people, only to ignore her own wounds and suddenly drop dead now is she.

No you can't. At least I got called on it on in in a Tourney. Can be played like that in house rules. Thats why I deal with at least 2 medics.

The answer is definitely no. The power to heal one's self is regeneration

Unfortunately that happens alot in real life to medics in war.

You cannot heal yourself with support. Support requires a target (it is a close combat action) and you cannot target yourself. It is a rule.

In the Rule Book, under Combat:

"Targeting Friendly Figures: One cannot target a friendly figure with a damaging attack. A figure may never target itself with any attack or super power, damaging or healing."

Only Regeneration breaks this rule, as is explicitly stated in its description in the PAC.

Of course this rule is also broken with Perplex and Probability Control, since a figure can use them on itself. Those powers do not actually say "target," though, which is probably why they can be used on the owning figure.

They do not target. You only need to target when making a close combat or ranged action perplex and pc do not recquire a close combat or ranged combat action.

Ok, we've all been thinking it:

TheSpirit is citing the correct general rule that individual powers may over-ride.

Probability Control FAQ:
"A figure with Probability Control may use that power on itself."
Perplex FAQ:
"A figure with Perplex may use that power on itself."

Otherwise, a figure cannot use a super-power on himself.
