Incorrect. You can't ignore unavoidable damage. Pushing damage is a subset of unavoidable damage.

So unless Absorbing Man has some way to get around pushing damage (like the Asgardian ATA), he will take that click if he pushes.

Would you have to roll for poison? And would you have to roll multiple times for multiple poison?

You aren't countering it or ignoring it. Unavoidable is always unavoidable.
