Turning the Dial - When an opposing character takes damage from a friendly character equipped with a Hammer, roll a d6 and turn the Book of the Skull dial that many times to the right.
So would a figure assigned the book with Mystics or poison cause the book to turn? If Dr. Strange (with the book) was hit and the attacker took damage from Mystics or if Joker (with the book) gave Poison damage are a couple examples that come to mind. The main question is if the book is also turned from non-attacking damage and it looks like the answer would be yes from the quote above.
Along similar lines, I'm thinking the questions are still being resolved, but would Silver Centurion's torpedo cause the book to spin (is the damage from SC or the separated object on the map)? I already asked about Iron Monger 2.0's trait so I won't ask that again.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
Remember that while the book is assigned to all of your force you only spin the dial if an opposing figure takes damage from a friendly equipped with a hammer. So if your poisoner or Mystic doesn't have a hammer equipped then the book won't spin. But if they do, then yes, the book spins.
Pushing damage from Incapacitate should not spin the book (although if a figure has two tokens and a hammer-equipped figure incaps them for the 1 penetrating that would spin the book).

Reason: spelling is hard when you have stupid fingers

Right, I knew that part, I was just making sure I was interpreting the rest correctly. So now we just have to wait for the rulings on SC and Iron Monger 2.0 to see if the damage dealt from the torpedo or trait would be damage from the figure or other game effects.

Of course it's best to wait but I doubt that will change. The main thing being looked into is whether the torpedo values will be modifyable or set as stated in the power, I think.
True, but the question that addresses that is if SC is the one doing the attack (since if his values are be modified, the attack resulting from him would translate to the torpedo) and that would answer whether it would spin the book, whether it can be PC'd (it can if he's doing the attack, not if the torpedo is), and whether the values can be modified.

The attack can be from him and still not be modifyable since the values are stated in the power, it all depends on the ruling. It is almost certain that the attack will be from him and therefor turn the book. It is far less certain whether the values should follow his modifiers or be locked at the stated numbers in the power.
