Yesterday I was in a situation where I had a sharpshooter desiring to make a ranged combat attack against an adjacent character in Stealth who happened to be sharing the same 'patch' of hindering terrain with me. My opponent argued the line of fire to his stealth-ed character remained hindered and I could not make a ranged combat attack against them, even though we both occupied the same patch of hindering terrain.
Any clarification on this?
Raise the fallen, cheer the faint, heal the sick, and lead the blind.
The only terrain that the character drawing Line of Fire would ignore would be just the specific square the occupied. All other squares, even ones in the same section of hindering, would effect Line of Fire.

My character (the Sharpshooter) was adjacent to my opponent (in stealth) both were in adjacent hindering terrain. The line of fire is still hindered? Would he also get the +1 Def as well (since I was using a ranged atk to an adjacent opponent)?
Also, an unrelated clarifying question. If I have a special def ability that says (____ can use combat reflexes, super senses, and toughness), are all of these active simultaneously as long as they don't contradict? Do I have to pick one each turn?
Thanks

yes, and the hindering would cause the LoF to be Blocked for characters with Stealth

if you are able to target the character, yes they would get the bonus

Yes, as long as they were not two different powers that ignore or reduce damage, or powers that require an action to activate.

You also couldn't use Outwit or Perplex to target the character, since those require Line of Fire.
So if one of my characters can use stealth and is in hindering terrain, my opponent can't outwit or perplex me even if they are adjacent to me? For some reason I thought they could since they are adjacent...guess that's only close combat attacks that don't require line of fire? Outwit and perplex are in a sense like long range attacks?
So the only way to outwit or perplex a stealth character is if your character ignores hindering terrain for lines of fire purposes? (ex. AvX Cyclops)

Perplex and Outwit require lines of fire. AvX cyclops doesn't ignore hindering AFAIK only blocking

My mistake on the cyclops, I don't know how I overlooked the prob control/outwit/perplex thing with stealth characters. Guess I'm still learning a lot, only been playing a couple months.

No worries, it's not something that makes sense the first time you look at it. 'I can punch you but I can't see you' is a bit wonky.
Good thing to know though is that your opponent's Stealth only functions during your turn, which means that you can PC their attack rolls on their turn.
90% of rules questions are answered by RTFC. Most of the rest are answered by a proper grasp of English and common goddamn sense.

Hmm does that mean I can't PC my own guy in stealth if its my opponents turn, I guess an example would be me trying to use PC to re-roll a super senses, shape change or impervious roll.

With PC, You can only reroll your rolls on your turn and your opp's rolls on his turns. You can't re-roll super senses, shape change or impervious rolls without a special version of PC.
On your turn, you can PC the rolls of your own stealth figures standing in hindering terrain. PC requires a line of fire, but stealth specifically states that it only works when it isn't your turn.
