(Special) Save Hope: Adjacent friendly characters named Hope Summers modify their defense value by +1 if not already modified by this effect.
(Special) Coming After All Of You: Cable modifies his attack and damage values by +1 when attacking a character with the Avengers keyword or team ability.
(Speed) Timeslide: Cable can use Phasing/Teleport and Shape Change.
(Attack) There's Always "Plan B": Cable can use the Duo Attack ability. When he does, during the second attack, he can use Precision Strike.
Well, one Cable Question, one Precision Strike question. Maybe.
Using Cable's trait that buffs his attack and damage against Avengers, what happens if he dual-targets and includes a non-Avenger in his attack? Does his still get the +1s? I'd assume so, because the criteria for the buff is being met on one target, if not both.
My second question doesn't apply to Cable himself, but he made me think of it. If I have a character with Precision Strike and two targets, can I assign all damage to Target A and still have Precision Strike affect Target B? In other words, can I make a 0 damage attack that still forces my opponent to take a click? It would start at 0, but can't be reduced below 1, so it would be brought back to 0.

For the first question: I would say that because you have met the requirements of attacking an Avenger the stats would buff against both targets.
For the second question: I would say that the damage isn't being reduced if there was never any damage assigned in the first place.
That was my thought as well, just wanted to bounce it off someone else, and you lot are my only friends. Kinda wanted to cheat up the Precision damage, but I didn't think it would fly. Thanks!

Actually, I'd go back to the Asgardian rulings when there were +1 vs. Asgardians from Thorbuster's armor...he didn't get the +1 on AV vs. non-Asgardians if I recall correctly.
Correct on Precision Strike...0 damage isn't assigning any damage, so there's nothing to keep at 1 or above for the power.
Are you a PbP'r (Play By Poster)? Come and check out www.creationmatrix.com; we've got EVERYTHING.
When dual targeting and you get buffs from a certain target, it only applys to that target. Hold on and let me find the PG. entry...
Here it is: When a modifier during an attack is based on a figure meeting a particular criteria (usually the targeted character), then that modifier only applies to the targeted character(s) but would not apply to any targeted characters that did not meet the criteria.
