Turning the Dial - When a character assigned a Phoenix Force Fragment is KO'd, attach their Fragment to the resource and immediately click the dial 5 times to the left, moving the dial to the same red click number in the next group. When a character assigned a Phoenix Force Fragment KO's an opposing character or hits with an attack roll that is doubles, after actions resolve, click the dial once, though the Phoenix Force may never be clicked beyond any group's click #5.
My question is to if a character is ko'd with an attached fragment, what happens, is it just gone or does it complete the action it is supposed to do and attach the base to make all the other stuff happen. The only reason i ask is because of the when part and not after a character is ko'd and that it doesn't say it can't be ignored.
If a fig is KO'ed by pulse wave, then the Phoenix force is clicked ahead.
If two figs that are assigned the Phoenix force are hit by pulse wave and one is KO'ed, the resource is clicked ahead as normal, but the status effects don't take effect until the pulse wave action has been resolved.
If a resource includes a dial and an event has been triggered by which the dial is to be turned, then the dial will be turned at the appropriate time even if it the resource would otherwise be ignored.
I think Any power or stat bump the resource provides are ignored by pulse wave. But the Phoenix force reabsobing a fragment shouldn't be ignored. It's how the resource works.it won't effect the current pulse wave attack, but it should be able to effect the next one.
yeah but because of pulse wave itself a character is not knocked out or defeated until after pulse wave is completed. KO'd is itself a game effect and is ignored by pulse wave until the pulse wave effect is done.
Technical that character with ko showing on all slots would still be on the map until the pulse wave was resolved then be kod by the game effect Knocked out
So the phoenix force would still turn and the fragment go back.

Yeah, none of this is correct. Except for maybe the last sentence.
Why is it wrong? An effect/game effect is defined as a power, ability or rule that the character possess or effects the character. Kod or defeated is a rule from the book that all characters possess. Pw says to ignore game effects.
It doesn't really ever change anything I can think of, but it seems correct.
Shrug if i'm wrong it won't be the first time.

Being KO'd is not an effect used or possessed by the character. Only things that are used or possessed by characters are things that are said to be used or possessed by characters, not every rule in the book.
By your logic PW would not function at all as being attacked and everything related to it are rules and as such should be ignored during PW. But that's not how it works.
