Just wanted to confirm that Enhancement does work on incapacitating attacks??? My buddy says it doesn't, but I believe that it does, and does not work with MC or RCE attacks only......
My understanding is that it does work on Incapacitate, and ALSO on Mind Control attacks. I believe that it works on ALL ranged attacks - except RCE, since that specifically forbids interaction with any other powers.
I think you're all wrong. You would have to use Enhancement before u use Incapacitate or Mind Control. Then when u use INCAP or MC u would drop the damage to 0. The only way u do damage with INCAP or MC is if the target is pushed and if u get a critical hit.
I believe, that whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stranger.

The PAC for Inc says it does 0 damage. But Enhancement can bump that to 1.
Under MC on the PAC, it sayd that a MC attack does no damage. Thus, nothing to Enhance.
The exception is a critical hit MC attack. This now does 1 damage and that can be Enhanced.
This sounds to me like people are taking things too literally once again. This is an issue of semantics. What is the difference between 0 and no? If I say I have no bananas and you say you have 0 bananas, what's the difference? Add 1 banana to each of us and we both have one banana. You can't say that you can't add 1 banana to me because I have no bananas.
Until I see something in the FAQ saying this (which I will be more than happy to yield to), my games allow Enhancement to add one to Mind Control attacks.
"Newt Gingrich did everything short of stealing Christmas.... Wait, he did that for the children on welfare too."
-My brother, on why he doesn't like Newt Gingrich
MC: "...A successful attack does no damage to the target character..."
Incapacitate: "...Reduce the damage to 0..."
The MC text is putting a blocker so you cannot add any more bananas. The INC text just takes your bananas away but you are allowed to get some back. Get it?

This is the wrong way to look at it beacuse of how Enhancement is described in the PAC:
Quote
will inflict 1 extra click of damage to any opposing figure(s) successfully hit by the attack.
Thus, you have to succesfully hit the target with an attack before you bring Enancement into the equation. In this case, you have to hit the traget for 0 damage with Inc and then add Enhancement in.
As others said, MC doesn't just reduce damage. It negates damage being done by MC. Only a crit hit or pushing will cause damage.
Enhancement.(optional)
Any friendly figure given a ranged combat action while in a square adjacent to this characterwill inflict 1 extra damage to any opposing figure(s) successfully hit by the attack.
Now we get into the difference between Inc. and MC. Incapacitate deals damage. It is 0 damage, but damage all the same. (This would be similar to dealing 1 damage to a figure with Toughness. It deals damage, but that damage does not inflict clicks.) MC deals no damage. None. Not even 0 damage. It is a subtle differance, but it is there.
I had psylock next to White Queen once. You should of seen my opponents face when I rolled box cars. Thanks to psycic blast 2 points went right through his invulnerabliliy I Thought he was gonna go right through the roof.
So let me see if I'm understanding this, you have a mind control team that is being enhanced and your playing for bananas. That sounds like so much fun, I wish my friends played for Bananas. Cause they taste better than LE's.

They have been telling you the correct ruling. Mind Control can only be Enhanced when you roll a critical hit because normally, MC does NO damage. Incapacitate can be Enhanced because it does 0 damage. "No" is not a number that you can add an extra click to, but 0 IS a number that you can add an extra click to.
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
