PURE PSIONIC BEING: Shadow King ignores all but 1 damage dealt by adjacent characters. When Shadow King is dealt damage; after actions-resolve, roll a d6. On a result of 3-6, heal him of 1 damage.

Okay, so here are a couple of questions:

(1) Suppose I deal the Shadow King damage. If I'm adjacent, he ignores all but 1 because of PPB; otherwise he takes full damage. But if this damage knocks him onto a click where PPB is no longer showing, does he still get to roll and possibly heal?

I *think* this is a triggered event that will happen no matter what, but I'm not sure about that.

(2) Suppose I use pulse wave to hurt Shadow King (while adjacent or not). He can't use PPB, so he takes the full damage from the pulse wave.
But suppose PPB is still showing afterwards. He was just dealt damage, so does he get to heal?

I *think* the answer would be no because PPB was being ignored when he was taking damage, so the triggered event doesn't get triggered.

But I get so confused about these timing issues sometimes...

1.) I'd say yes. The trigger is when he is dealt damage. So even if he loses PURE PSIONIC BEING he still gets to roll.

2.) Correct it's a no. The power is ignored when the triggering event, damage is dealt, happens.

Both answers given by both people are correct.
