TELEPORTATION DISKS: Give Magik a power action and choose an adjacent character. Place Magik in any square within range, place the chosen character in an adjacent square, and roll a d6. On a result of 1-4, the chosen character can't be given a non-free action until your next turn.
Two things:
1) Since it states "adjacent character" without saying friendly or opposing, that means I can use this power to teleport either friendly or opposing adjacent characters?
2) If it is true I can teleport opposing characters, can they choose to not go along with it?

1. Yes. That is correct.
2. No. They do not get a choice.

wow. "roll a 5-6 or you are stun locked". messed up.
edit- and i roll the die, so i can probability control it, to increase my chances of stun locking you. for a couple turns, anyhow. hmm. leadership and probability control looks like a good idea.
lock you down with teleportation portals, then next turn remove the action token from magick with leadership. use Prob control on either roll to increase the likely hood of it working.
Is "No Character" a valid choice for this power? Or does Magik need to be adjacent to a character to use it?
It does not imply a choice, so I would say she has to be adjacent to another character to do this. That being said, she has phasing and a speed value greater than 5, why not just take the move action?

Where are you seeing Phasing on her dial?
aqhoffman- greatest post possibly ever
jtallday- Jon I wouldn't challenge you if I wasn't sure you are wrong cuz I don't have that kind of energy.
In my dreams, apparently. Just went back to quote her dial, and she doesn't phase at all. I could have sworn she does. Why did I think that?
Not sure. I know nothing of the character (I was even calling her Ma-jee-k at the last AvX tourney) I only know that I was in a situation where I didn't have anyone next to her and so I couldn't get her where I needed.
I also know her P5 Chase (which I like a lot at 295) lacks the X-Men keyword which irks me as I try running theme teams.

Yeah I was really hoping to see an errata on her special. It needs to read, "Magik can use phasing teleport." as the first sentence. I feel like wk dropped the ball on that one.
Did they drop the ball, or did they simply figure that the trouble one has to go through to get this to work (basing magik to an opposing figure or vice versa), having her stay alive through the attack to her next turn, and then triggering the trait, is not quite so easy to pull off? Sure, there's the TK slingshot thought from Magneto, Jean or any number of TK'ers, but... eh. I dunno.
"A" is "A". And no matter what universe he's from, Luthor... is Luthor.
