So with this outwit ability :

Would he (or someone using his possessed ability to do so) be able to outwit for example

DP048 Blink's: GROUP TELEPORT: Blink can use Flurry, Phasing/Teleport, and the Carry ability. She doesn't modify her speed value when using the Carry ability, and may carry up to 3 characters that share a keyword with her regardless of their speed combat symbols.

and then use it as if their name was Blink in the power that was turned off's decription?

That is correct.

This is an incorrect assumption on your part. They had to errata Hope Summers for this to be able to happen. As written you would not replace the name and the power would be useless.

While I believe the intent is that the name would change so that the character using this power could use the power that is Outwitted as written this does not happen.

I will follow up with the rules team for this one and let you know once I have heard back from them.

She never recieved an errata only a clarification. So her wording has not changed.

There is no such entry for Ophidian. As such he cannot use those powers as written.

Also, please forgive me for the errata statement. I normally do errata/clarification but in my editing of the post I accidentally left the "/clarification" off.

Again, I agree that this is how it SHOULD work. However, for an official ruling that is not the case. I'm 99.999999% confident that they will reply to me and confirm that those powers are usable, but we need that statement from the rules team before it becomes official. Otherwise we can only rule on a power as it and the rules documentations are written.

With that though at the venues where I still judge I will be ruling that he and the Possessor CAN use those powers and let my players know that technically that is a house rule until we hear back from the rules team.

I would say that the fact that Omega Level Mutant was clarified rather than erratad it creates a precedent which makes Ophidian's power work the same. Even though he has not gotten a clarification of his own yet.

Again I completely agree with this and that is how I would rule on it. But until we get that from the rules team we cannot make a blanket statement like that.

I am seeking clarification for the following power:

DESIRE OF GREED: Ophidian can use Outwit. When it does it can use the
countered power or ability for as long as it's countered.

As written this power would not work on special powers that name the
character possessing that power. For example if a Special Power said
"Mr. Awesome can use Charge, Flurry, and Blades/Claws/Fangs." Then
Ophidian would not be able to use that power since it is not Mr.
Awesome.

An errata/clarification was issued for Hope Summers and her power
Omega Level Mutant.

I'm assuming that the intent is for Ophidian or the possessed
character to be able to use that power and the name would be replaced
with Ohpidian or the replaced character's name.

Can you please let me know if my assumption is correct and if this
will be addressed?

A game effect that allows a character to copy and/or mimic another character's special power would replace its name with the name used in the special power.
