So with powers not being able to be turned off, can you not ignore your indomitable to push your character now?

Indomitable grants Willpower. Willpower states that you may ignore pushing damage. You have the option of taking Pushing Damage with Willpower.

You never could ignore your own Indomitable.
However, Indomitable lets you use Willpower, and Willpower says the character "may ignore pushing damage". Since "may" indicates you do not have to if you do not want to, you can choose to take pushing damage when you want to.
