So I have a Weaponer of Qward on his first click with the white ring attached to him. I choose to pulse wave as my attack power against one person. How much damage do I do? This situation caused an uproar at my local gameshop. I was wondering why you would pulse wave a single person. But whatever, we were told by the players that the rules "imply" that six damage is dealt. But we are still new into Heroclix and the rules are ####. Please help.

Only 5 damage would be dealt, as the white ring increases all stats except damage by +1

It would be whatever his base damage it. It the previous guy said five. That would change if he had his damage modified.

The wording on Pulse Wave is actually pretty clear. If you target more than one person, the damage is locked at 1. Otherwise you deal damage the same as with any other attack.

The reason you want to single-target Pulse Wave is because you get regular damage(including stuff like Perplex) but ignore the target's powers due to PW.

The Ring is equally clear. You modify all combat values except damage.
