I HUNGER!: Zombie Galactus begins the game on click #4. After an action resolves in which Zombie Galactus hits one or more opposing characters, place a Food token on this card (maximum 5). Give Zombie Galactus a free action if he has not yet healed through this trait and remove all its Food tokens and heal it that many clicks. It may heal past its starting line in this way.
I just got this figure and cannot wait to unleash him against my friends but I want to make sure I am using him right without cheating my buddies. My question is two fold. First, can you use Steal Energy or Regen to heal him past the starting click like any other wild dial. I have a feeling the answer is no but I want to make sure.
Second, assuming I do get him to top click via food tokens, can you keep him up there with either Steal Energy or Regen or is the healing ignored until he drops back down to click 4 or 5?
1. You are correct. The answer is no. Steal energy/regen works with wild dials because of the special powers/traits that specifically says so. Zombie Galactus doesn't so he cannot heal past his starting line with those powers.
2. No. A character cannot normally heal past it's starting line unless a game effect specifically says so. And this includes both passing the starting line and when it has been passed allready.
Rulebook pg. 10:
Quote
A character with multiple starting lines can’t be healed beyond the starting line that it began within a particular game.
Right. Only the Vampires (Dracula, et al) and Sauron that specifically say they can use Steal Energy to go past their starting line are able to do that. Zombie Galactus has a different way to "heal" past his starting line and that is his only way to get past it.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
