Heroes vs. Villains Theme Teams: Looking for Feedback Because...Why Not?
So I'm planning on playing in a tournament on Thursday that's Heroes vs. Villains, Golden Age, 500 pts, no Feats/BFCs/Resources/Collosals/Team Bases/ATAs allowed, but Relics and other Special Objects ARE allowed. Whoever wins map roll picks their Heroes team or Villains team and the other player picks the opposite what they chose. Just wondering what you guys think of the two teams I put together. I've no intention of going to the tournament to win but just to have fun.
If I had another A.I.M. Renegade, I'd swap out one of the Killians for him. I don't like the fact that the Green Lantern Ring doesn't belong, but MODOK is begging for Willpower somehow so that's why it's there. Other than that Bill would carry both the Soldiers and Brandt to hindering and hopefully they would all take their 1 click to get the Soldiers to 10 Atk and RCE, Bill to his Outwit and special power, and Brandt to Prob Control. Renegade would stick with MODOK because of Enhancement.

Total: 497 pts (S.H.I.E.L.D theme team)
The idea is to Perplex up Quasar's Atk or Dmg with Coulson then move up Carter, Hand, and Coulson. (all not counting towards action total thanks to Steve) Then Quasar would move his 5 squares and shoot at 7 range instead of 5 thanks to S.H.I.E.L.D. TA. He attacks at 13 or 12 Atk for 5 or 6 Dmg. Then he's hopefully in Stealth thanks to Sharon. Next turn Sharon pushes to her Perplex. Steve and Hand always adjacent as well and Coulson not far behind for Perplex.
In both cases the theme Probs will come in handy, like it I want to make sure that Bill forces everyone to take the 1 Dmg. I'm playing these for fun. I love MODOK and Quasar but have NEVER had the chance to play them. So I'm playing them for fun this tournament because I don't get a chance to play much competitive Golden Age stuff. So lemme know what you guys think. Thanks!
the aim team looks fun, but because I've never played any of them besides MODOK I can't really comment on how I think they'd play. strategy seems pretty sound though.
S.H.I.E.L.D. teams on the other hand are my bread & butter. I've never played with that Quasar but he looks like a beast. just to clarify: you do realize that the Avengers TA isn't really doing you any favors because at 500pts you still have 5 actions per turn and you only have 5 characters, right? regardless, Steve has always done good work for me. my only suggestions would be:
a. as you know pushing Sharon to perplex is key... I myself like to push her using the S.H.I.E.L.D. ta so that she would be giving quasar a +1 damage, saving those perplexes for whatever else you would like to use.
2. Victoria Hand still has some tricks, but for her points I'd rather use one of caws shield agents. impervious isn't as tricky to get around as it used to be, so having a pleeb to both mastermind to is pretty nice. worked for me when I ran two of them with M10 Iron Man 009 recently.
