Need help with making the best "Justice League" team possible!
So I have a friend who constantly hates on DC and thinks that there isn't a Justice League team that he can't beat. Now that may be true in the world of heroclix... But I aim to prove him wrong. So here are the specifics:
Modern Age Only
Team must include: Hawkman, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern.
No "cheating" characters like: Supes/WW duo figure or Superman and Superman duo figure.
No teambase
Point cost is irrelevant
No resources/relics preferred
I think Aquaman and Martian Manhunter, are both more "core" JLA than Hawkman, but thats me. Is their a build point limit?
Edit - Does team need to have Justice League key word?
On any day I would agree with you. My friend has a special place in his heart for hating on Hawkman / Hawkwoman though and I'm trying to keep the team "relatively small".
Also, they do not have to have the Justice League key word. Just the characters.
Ok, disregarding ages, you still don't have many options with Hawkman, and is a good place to start building your team. I've only played the JL52 version and found him pretty good. I don't know anything about the older pieces, but with the way power creep goes I wouldn't put too much weight in their effectiveness (I would be glad to be proven wrong). Alternatively, if you want to force the point total down to put pressure on your opponent, you could use an older piece for tie-up/harassment.
You don't have a lot of options for support. You're probably going to get that from GL and
Batman (barring extra Justice League characters not on your list). Flash might supplement. I vote either the Flashpoint Flash from Superman, or the JL52 FF one.

Play at 700, gives you a few points left over for a Relic or Batbelt, on Wonder Woman, for Will Power and either Stealth or Super Strength (Suit of Sorrows).

You get full dial support from Flash and Batman. Three fliers to carry three walkers. With the CC nature of most of the team GL needs to pick up the ranged game. Hal or John work well in that regard and you can pick the free TK or heavy ranged damage to suit your taste. I'd have him carry Flash to make use of that PD TA, and flash could HSS out and back to GLs side in one turn. The reason I picked the wall to attach is that I find it more useful than the Catapult, and if he's free of tokens when someone bases him, he can switch to scissors/boxing glove (when they come out) for free.
