Recently I was in a tournament and my opponent outwitted my Abomination's Inuvulnerability with Batman. Abomination was then hit for 5 clicks of damage and he gained Toughness. My opponent said he could now outwit my toughness with Batman. I was confused as I thought you could only outwit once per turn per character and he had already used it. He said that because the power he had chosen was no longer there to be outwitted, he gets outwit back. Is this true?!!??!??! The judge agreed with him but this just sounds ridiculous to me. If this is right then I guess I should spend some quality time with a FAQ.
Your opponent hasn't read the rules very well. Your judge is also as useless as ..well, just useless.
Batman outwits Inv...thats his 1 outwit. Someone else would need to outwit the toughness after Abomination got whacked for 5.
KILOWOG not KILOWAG, KILAWOG or KILAWAG ROGUE not ROUGE (which happens to be RED in French) GRAVITON not GRAVITRON (Decepticon that never got made?)
And don't feel bad you don't perhaps know all the rules. It is the judges job there to have a copy of the rules and the faq. It is outrageous that such an obvious rule (to those that play alot and are familiar, judges included) would be dismissed by the guy running your local tournies. If you are a newer player, unfamiliar with the rules, definately don't feel bad, although feel perhaps cheated, as you were

You should Print off a current copy of the FAQ and bring it with you as well as a copy of the PAC and Rulebook for just such an instance.Either...
A)the judge was confused by the question(Doubtful)
B)He's Not very knowledgeable of the rules(Possible, but Doubtful) or
C)Siding with a friend over you(Also possible)
So if you keep a copy printed of the FAQ,You can show him his mistake. It's never a good idea to flat out call a judge a liar, whether it's true or not. This instance lends an air of fishiness Hope you don't get shafted again like this
