Ok so here is my idea. So my plan is to use the white power battery, John Stewart with Ophidian and nurse, then Rond Vidar with the sniper rifle, and then using 3 Manhunter Alpha with whatever constructs are left. My idea is to get the constructs on to the first Manhunters and then use them to take out whatever support pieces are on the board and be distractions while i get constructs on to JS and RV. My questions/concerns are as follows
1: will it take too much time to get the constructs out
2: will the constructs on the manhunters keep them from being knocked out in one shot.
3: should i bump JS down to his 95pt line and use a find a barrier piece and barricade myself in a corner until i can get enough constructs out.
here is a list my war of light pieces i have to work with.
I think that everyone has their own style of play. Ultimately, you must build that fits your style. I'd assume you built your original team to suit your style of play.
Some problems I forsee you may have are:
1. Waiting to get constructs on your pieces allow your opponent to set up and take control of the map. This is dangerous for many reasons, especially if they are an alpha-strike team meant to obliterate.
2. You would be splitting up your force. Manhunters go out to take out support, then your opponents main players take them out, then you are left with the other 2 pieces that will get taken out. It's best to work together. Further. going after the support may be counter productive against an opponent with a piece like Sodam Yat. You have to hammer that piece and try to take him out.
Playing defensive and conservative is not usually a good idea, especially in a set with a lot of great pieces.
You may want to try some of the following combo's with the following pieces:
- 85WOL029 Brother Hymn
- 66 WOL033 Sister Sercy
- 115 WOL111 Saint Walker
- 80 WOL103 Rond Vidar
- 300 WOL052 Hal Jordan and Sinestro
- 211 WOL025 The Weaponer of Qward
- 40 WOL004 Indigo Tribe Recruit
- 85 WOL031A Kyle Rayner (Blue Lantern)
- 115 WOL019 Bedovian
I could be wrong, but based on some of the official rulings for the White Ring effect (specifically one that states that Sodam Yat can't revive using the ring at his lower point cost because a KO click isn't revealed) I don't think the manhunter pogs can be revived as they have no clicks and thus no KO clicks to trigger the ring, though ultimately, you'd have to ask the judge at your venue.
