I just came up with a team that I need some advice with. This team is pretty much a departure from my playing style (which is aggressive offense) so I'd like to get some opinions on how effective it's gonna be.
300pts
75 JLTW Greed with ASM Doc Oct's Arms (Greed's trait)
80 JLTW Vibe
50 FL Turtle
65 WXM Magneto
8 JLTW Greed relic (assigned to either Vibe or Magneto via Greed's trait)
22 Power Battery with Decoy and Sniper Rifle (all green)
The idea is giving Sniper Rifle to Vibe to handicaped my opponent's Charge, HSS, RS and Phasing/Teleport at 10 squares away. With Turtle to further penalize their movements. Vibe would for most of the time try to avoid being hit, while providing TK or some sniper support. Greed with Octo Arms gain 3 targets and doudle perplex on self would make a formidable tie up piece. These 3 figures also share a great token assigning synergy. Magneto, he's a 9 range sniper, who can further penalize my opponents with each action he makes. And that is without considering his Capture Citadel Base special. Depending on what I'm facing, Decoy goes to either Greed or Mags. And finally, Vibe has a 5 range PW.
The one thing this team doesn't have is PC. It's got Perplex and Outwit. Green Power Battery limits free actions, gives some protection to Outwit and negative Perplex, and provide some Will Power. Decent damage output. Poor defenses but makes up for it by making it difficult for my opponents to give actions. It's a crippling team.
An alternative is take out Mags, Greed relic and Octo Arms to accomodate SLoSH Lydea Mallor.
Magneto is fantastic as a sniper, so my only suggestion would be Abin Sur (50) and add one construct to him and one more on the battery (Wall ,10, and Bulldozer, 4, sideline another decoy to upgrade the BD into later). Abin has RS to make up for the lesser range and gives you the ability to get a construct on everybody. Once you add a Battery construct to Abin he'll be back up to a 9 range.
Otherwise the cliché Despo-dara combo at 55pts leaves you w/ 20pts for constructs... also puts PC on the team (even though you'll want to choose Defend most of the time).
I'd keep the Greed Relic on Vibe in either of these cases.
