Having a lot of trouble building a team for today's tournament, but here is what I have come up with:
AvX 004 Spider-Man(125) possessed by WoL063 Ophidian(25)
GotG 019a Captain Marvel(150)

Any suggestions would be great(even if you want to change the team up entirely :P ) I wasthinking the two Hypersonics and the amount of prob/outwit/and perplex would help this team a lot but idk, I'm not very good at team building.
Truth be, I'm no master either. I've never played with any of those figs yet (Don't even have the Avengers AvX starter yet - hunting mercilessly for it though).
Wolvie can hold his own while Forge backs up Colossus with range as well as power neutralization and his object Perplex. And Colossus gets the healing off Forge for having the Armor keyword.

I can't tell if you're joking or not? Why play an anti-resource figure when no resources are allowed? Even if they WERE allowed, you would most likely lose pogs to zero.
I suggest Parallax on Spidey to get the quintessense TA and perplex down someones defesne helping with the -2 to attack modifier he will be receiving. 1st turn chose Stealth then next turn chose Quint. TA. Plus you'll get the +1 to attack if I recall correctly.
Also, it seems silly to not play a prime fig. What about Dr. Spectrum? He will almost always have a 14 AV with Pulse Wave. Roar!

I'm not joking (do I look like I'm joking...?), and while that Iron Man has an anti-resource trait, that's not all he's good for. He's good for so much more. And if you think that team will lose pogs to zero, I dare you to play against it. Go ahead; build a team with four entities on it (and a resource if you really want to), and have your buddy play my team against yours. If your team makes it to time, I'll eat a cookie. If my team loses, I'll eat two cookies.
Of course it's beatable, and it's not the be-all, end-all of teams, and it may not be championship level, but unless you're playing some silly, mega-broken min/max team, then odds are you're gonna get stomped. I know because I've stomped tentpoles, OMAs, resourced teams, and entitied teams with it. Easily. The only thing I generally had going against me was very low rolling.
And to make it that much better, my team is thematic and a theme team.
Have some fun. Do the KC Flash, Turtle, and whatever else you want. Then add in a straight Jacket. Watch flash annoy the hell out of thier primary attacker...
jimmyboy... WHAT? lol. why would someone play 100pts of entities in a 300 pt game? How do I beat that team pogs to 0? Any balanced team and some not so balanced. Uggh thats just a terrible choice imo for given format.

Although, thats not my style. More like 3 main attackers like a Banshee, Cerise combo along with Worlds Finest. something along those lines.
But yeah. Superman could just destroy whomever on that team and then Iron Man never catches him.
I agree with you on the entities, but I've seen it happen.
As for Iron Man not catching him, I think you're still underestimating this team by a lot. Iron Man has perplex, Rescue has perplex. The SHIELD ATA will give him a 9 range to go with his running-shot. You can choose to perplex up his 6 speed (replacement value) to a 7 or 8 for his running-shot. Rescue t/k's him out there for 8 squares. That's 8 + 8 + 5 = 21. That's a 21 square reach for a running-shot/pulse-wave. Supes doesn't have anywhere near that reach (16 squares?), and he doesn't have pulse-wave.
Or perplex up IM's attack to a 13, and have a 19 square reach. Still huge. You hit Supes, hit him for 4 damage, and you can choose to leave IM there to attempt again next turn. Supes MAY hit him for possibly 2 damage (unless he's using Parallax's psy-blast), in which case IM now has outwit or psy-blast and perplex, and still a 9 range, and will likely hit Supes for another 3 damage straight through.
At which point Supes is on his way out. Or you can use the pog to call IM home with the Bat signal, safely out of Supe's reach. Then, wherever Supes may be on the map at this point, he's very likely still not out of IM's t/k'd running-shot reach.
If you still think Supes/Parallax has this, I'd like to see you play it. The biggest enemy here is low rolling. My money is on IM/Rescue.
Granted, in a competitive setting 95% (at least) of players wouldn't even consider playing that team. That's because they can't get passed "Entities...Resources...oooh, shiny!!"
As for me, I play 98% of all my games in a very competitive environment, and I will almost always play a non-resourced, no-entity team (I don't even have any entities); a team that I came up with myself because I think it's a fun, solid team. I never ever netdeck.
Also, the Banshee, Cerise, Worlds Finest team is something I too would play. That's more my speed, too.
Yeah, that is why I edited the post. Making a team to counter a team is bad form. That iron man team wouldnt win against ANYTHING I would play. lol its just not good and in no resources? It's one of the worst options. FYI I would just chose Stealth so 26 range wouldn't mean anything. Also, your implying that supes wouldnt roll his leadership and have a 20D. Superman will get the first hit off and Rescue would most likely be dead at that point. But again, Supes would NOT be a go to option for myself in a 300pt nerdament. Where do you live? I would love to play you against that team.

Don't forget pulse-wave ignores all game effects, so that Leadership roll, boosted defenses, and stealth mean nothing. They are ignored, unless that game effect specifically says that it can't be ignored.
And I would love to play you against whatever team you choose. I live in Phoenix, Arizona.
Pulsewave only ignores the effect if the originator the effect has a line of fire drawn to it. For example, one of the Star Lords allows all guardians of the galaxy to use the highest printed defense. If you have chase rocket racoon, thats a 19. Unless Star Lord is in the pulsewave, you still treat thier defense as a 19.
Or the perplex from a battery. Since no line of fire is EVER drawn to a battery by pulsewave (as it only draws LOF to characters) the perplexed DEF from a battery perplex is not ignored.
You guys are talking about exceptions, not the norm. Trust me, he has the range, and perplexed up attack values are likely to hit. I've seen it enough times.
If you're counting on the exception, the odds are against you, which had been my basic point with this team, that the odds are in their favor.
